Thank you for your mail; because I have been away, I have not been able to respond but last evening, I attended an emergency Full Council Meeting, called by the Labour Party to show our disapproval to the proposals.

As you are probably aware, we have fought the attempts to close the Fire Station over the last three attempts and last night we were able to persuade the Conservatives to agree with us that the Bedworth Fire Station must not be closed.

The meeting charged the Chief Executive with writing to Warwickshire to condemn the proposals and urged people to access the consultation and say 'no' to the proposals.

As your Local Councillor I am opposed to the proposals and will fight to retain the Fire Station now and in the future.
