Police Investigation and Warwickshire RFU Members Update 8th November 2007 14:45hrs

Further to members concerns regarding Warwickshire RFU members being interviewed by the Police.

After discussions between Anthony Morgan WRFU Chair and managers from both WFRS and Warwickshire County Council it has been arranged that RFU members will receive legal representation at interviews conducted by the Police.

This process will be available to all Warwickshire fire fighters and is planned to be communicated to all stations and personnel imminently.

Anthony Morgan WRFU Chair said,

“I hope that this will clear up the confusion that has surrounded this matter. Warwickshire RFU members can be assured of obtaining appropriate legal representation. The RFU is committed to offer support and guidance to its members during this stressful time".

This support is in addition to that which will be provided automatically by the RFU if required.
