JOHN
BARTON
NATIONAL GENERAL SECRETARY
Joined a Retained
one pump station in 1975 eventually promoted to Sub Officer In Charge
in 1991. Long time supporter and believer in the value of the Retained
Services, NOT in opposition to my wholetime colleagues. I
believe that where it is appropriate an adequately funded and supported
Retained Service can play its part in the British Fire Service.
John retired from operational service in December 2006.
John is also the
Lead Officer for Human Resource Modernisation in the Fire Service. |
