Joined a Retained one pump station in 1975 eventually promoted to Sub Officer In Charge in 1991. Long time supporter and believer in the value of the Retained Services, NOT in opposition to my wholetime colleagues. I believe that where it is appropriate an adequately funded and supported Retained Service can play its part in the British Fire Service.

John is also the Lead Officer for Human Resource Modernisation in the Fire Service.

Havin worked for the RFU for 10 years Tristan has recently (July 2007) been promoted to the role of ANGS. Tristan has been Retained in Norfolk for 5 years and feels it imperative that he keeps close links with the sharp end of the service to assist him with his new position in the RFU.

Retired Retained Station Officer in Leicestershire. Roger has 26 years service, and specialises in discipline, grievance, and mediation. Roger serves as a member on employment tribunals and the race relations board, and is qualified in health and safety.

Joined the Retained station of Chirk in Clwyd in 1992. This has changed to North Wales and is now Sub Officer In Charge.

Originally from Leicestershire, and have lived in Chirk since 1988.

My main employment is in manufacturing at a top tier COMAH chemical site, where I also form part of the emergency response team on fire, first aid and chemical gas's
