It is with great sadness that we report the news of another firefighter whose life was taken whilst on duty.

Ewan Williamson from Lothian & Borders died when a floor gave way at the Balmoral Bar in Dalry Road, Edinburgh .

More than 20 people, including a baby, were rescued from flats above the pub by firefighters in the early hours of the morning.

Mr Williamson is survived by his mother, two sisters and his girlfriend.

Our thoughts go out to the families of all involved.
