Dear Member

For the attention of all RFU Members

You will be aware from recent circulars that the settlement of our Part-time Workers Claims is drawing to a conclusion and therefore a significant factor in the mechanism regarding settlement will be the requirement for the RFU to be able to communicate effectively with its members without delay.

It has also become clear that RDS personnel will be at an advantage in terms of managing miscalculations of the compensation payment, by being a member of the RFU rather than of no union. If you know of a colleague(s) who is not a member of the RFU, it would be advisable for them to join ASAP.

Management of our membership database is an ongoing task and to achieve this we have in the past periodically sent out a membership refresher document. The reason being that we know that there are occasions when members move house or station, other pressures get in the way and we are not always informed of any change of contact details.

We therefore request your valuable assistance in ensuring that all members in your branch/station are made aware of the need to update their contact details for the reasons already given using the attached refresher sheet.
