New Approach
Since 2008, AssetCo Fire and
Rescue has been working hard to secure new business that builds
on our experience in the UK Fire and Rescue Service and our
contracts with London Fire Brigade and Lincolnshire Fire and
Rescue Service. We have added to our team global specialists
and have also been focusing our energies on developing support
services that add value in frontlines services, training and
recruitment.
The contracts detailed below are indicative of the opportunities
that AssetCo are currently working on.
EFCC Contract Award
In 2009, following the cancellation
of the FireGuard Framework Agreement with G4S for Emergency
Fire Crew Capability (EFCC), AssetCo were invited to bid alongside
G4S and BPS to provide CapitalGuard. CapitalGuard was an alternative
EFCC solution, but specifically for the London Fire and Emergency
Planning Authority (LFEPA).
Following a formal tender process, AssetCo
were awarded a 7-year contract to provide up to 700 firefighters
in the event of additional support being required for London
Fire Brigade as a result of Pandemic, natural disaster or
Industrial Action.
Since the award, a number of
Fire and Rescue Services have expressed an interest in our
EFCC solution with the use of retained firefighters being
an acceptable part of the solution.
UAE & Abu Dhabi Governments
Contract Award
In November 2009, AssetCo was
awarded a 10-year joint venture contract with the Abu Dhabi
Government for the development and operation of a new world
class Education and Training Facility.
This long-term partnership with the Abu Dhabi Government’s
Critical National Infrastructure Authority requires AssetCo
to develop, resource and manage a 100-acre multi-agency emergency
services training centre.
UAE Government Firefighting
Service Contract Award
In January 2010, AssetCo announced
a contract to provide a fully outsourced firefighting service
by His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan,
the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Deputy Supreme Commander
of the UAE Armed Forces.
This 3-year contract is the first of its kind in the UAE that
involves a total turnkey solution for the provision of personnel,
training, operational equipment and facilities management.
